Queensboro Marine offers a broad selection of plant (separating ponds, API separators etc.), inshore and offshore oil recovery systems including multi-bank, and weir type skimmers. These skimmers feature conventional technology such as self-adjusting weirs and interchangeable recovery banks as well as innovations brought about by the company’s practical approach to design. One such innovation is a height adjustment feature that allows a skimmer to compensate for variations in loading and buoyancy so that its recovery bank is always at the appropriate level. Furthermore, in striving to produce some of the most robust and reliable skimmers available, only the best materials are used in fabrication. Hence, all Queensboro Marine skimmers are made of corrosion resistant materials such as stainless steel, and marine grade aluminum. Furthermore, simplicity in design is always emphasized to allow for ease of maintenance. Most importantly, all skimmers are designed to meet actual specified recovery rates and do not have to be de-rated.
